HURAA & KURAA exhibition

“HURAA & KURAA Niemisen repusta”

(in Eng. “CHEER & CRUSH from Nieminen’s backpack”) i.e. a retrospective art exhibition of Hende Nieminen’s artistic production from the first 50 years.

The exhibition is open from 10 April to 18 May 2024.
From the beginning of his childhood to this day, Nieminen has worked on a variety of materials, which can now be seen physically. Drawings, paintings, photographs, graffiti, caricatures, customized products from bowling balls to pianos, children’s clothing designs, storybook illustrations and many other strange things, the origin of which cannot be rationally justified, will be on the walls of the gallery space. Some of the works are for sale, some borrowed and some stolen.

The exhibition’s opening event on April 10, 2024 at 6 p.m. is also Nieminen’s 50th birthday celebration. Snacks, special beverages piimäkaakao and old wine are available. Ryttylä’s OG, Pietari, also known as Jumppahurja and Taxibroidi, is in charge of the music for the event.

During the opening hours of the exhibition, the gallery will have themed days involving the public, which will be announced later on Hende’s social media channels on Facebook and Instagram.
