A new free festival at Konepaja! 

Welcome to the first Konepaja Festival on Saturday, June 10! The festival is open to everyone and free of charge and it will take place in the area of VR’s former Vallila machine shop at 11 AM – 10 PM. The day will be filled with live music and other activities.
 
The day starts with the Konepaja block flea market, which has already become an early summer tradition. The flea takes place at Konepajanraitti next to Konepajanpuisto at 11 AM – 3 PM. Self-organised flea market is free for sellers.
 
Konepaja Festival’s live stage will feature a wide range of upcoming names and long-standing veterans when Lätsä, Rebekka Holi, Teini-Pää, Matti8, Pelle Miljoona Band and Asa & DJ Polarsoul will take the stage.
 
The event is organized in cooperation with the operators and friends of the Konepaja area. The festival is made possible by The Folks Hotel, Meira, The Train Factory, Tripla and City of Helsinki.  Graphic design by Roosa Kontiokari.

STAGE SCHEDULE

  • 2 PM Lätsä

    Lätsä  is a talented new generation songwriter who has been compared to Finnish rock legends such as Dave Lindholm and J. Karjalainen. Lätsä builds a bridge between indie and classic rock with fresh energy and unique sound. Lätsä’s six-member ensemble was recently reinforced with wind instruments, and their rugged sounds are known to  channel a mind-blowing energy blast that will definitely enchant the audience.

    Lätsä’s hyped-up debut album was released in September 2020. Helmi Levyt will release their much anticipated sophomore album in September 2023.

  • 3 PM Rebekka Holi

    Rebekka Holi is a singer and songwriter from Helsinki. Holi’s music is a smooth combination of timid tip-toeing and loud rumbling, and her stage performance is at its best in live. Her wise rock ’n’ roll songs comfort at life’s sensitive moments.  Holi and her band have done both touched the crowds and made them go wild since 2018. In September 2021 the band released their debut album “Posliinijättiläinen”.

  • 4:30 PM Teini-Pää

    Teini-Pää is a wimpy punk/silly pop/teenage dream band founded in 2018. Their debut demo was released on Christmas eve in 2018 and they began touring quickly after that. The band has self-published their debut EP “Täynnä kysymyksiä” in autumn 2019 and 7-inch vinyl “Hotelliin / 112” in summer 2020. Teini-Pää’s first full album “Maailma kyllä odottaa” was published in 2022 and their sophomore album “Sata syytä aloittaa” in February 2023. Teini-Pää promises to deliver bliss, hurly-burly, ans sparkles!

  • 6 PM Matti8

    Matti8 is an energetic and bone hard solo artist from Helsinki. Before going solo Matti8 was known as the other half of the grime band Töölön Ketterä.

    In the beginning of the year Matti8 released his debut album “Ka8i” which he wanted to be full of bangers. The result was a solid package of songs, and the self-published album sparked a lot of discussion. For example, YleX ranked it among the most interesting albums of the month. 

  • 7 PM Pelle Miljoona Band

    Pelle Miljoona is one of the best-known artist personalities in post-war Finland. Pelle Miljoona has been involved in the development of punk scene in Finland and later on poured his passion into writing and troubadourism.

    Pelle performs both solo and with his various ensembles, such as Pelle Miljoona Band.

  • 8:45 PM Asa & DJ Polarsoul

    Asa is known for his social, political, and philosophical verses. His lyrics deal with war, non-violence, inequality, suburban life, mental growth and the relationship between humans and nature.  Asa will take the stage together with DJ Polarsoul with whom he has been performing for years. At the stage the collaboration is seamless, and Asa’s verses are moving effortlessly together with DJ Polarsoul’s rhythms.

OTHER PROGRAM

  • Flea market 11 AM - 3 PM
    The day starts with the Konepaja block flea market, which has already become an early summer tradition. The flea takes place at Konepajanraitti next to Konepajanpuisto at 11 AM – 3 PM. Self-organised flea market is free for sellers, but remember to bring your own blanket / table for your sales spot. 
     
  • NK Sports & Wellness: sparkling wine yoga, massages and osteopathy

    NK Sports & Wellness offers massages, osteopathy and  exercise services to support you during the harder times and busy everyday life. You are always welcome just the way you are, whether you want to relax, rehabilitate or improve your fitness.

    During the festival NK Sports & Wellness offers a taste of its services: quick massages, osteopathy consultations and body composition measurements. In addition, there will be sparkling wine yoga at the sunny rooftop terrace Alexis. The customers of the day will get special offers for late summer and autumn services. 

    11 AM – 12 PM Sparkling wine yoga @ roof terrace Alexis, 20 €
    11 AM – 6 PM 20min neck and shoulder massages & osteopathy consultations, 20 €
    5 -7 PM Free body composition measurements

  • Eagle Club: terrace karaoke, shooting and golf competitions

    Eagle Club Konepaja is an entertainment center where you can find TrackMan 4 golf simulators, SimWay shooting simulators, karaoke room, top notch conference rooms and bar and terrace with the first terrace karaoke in the city.

    Go and try out Eagle Club’s activities during the festival day from 11 AM – 10 PM:

    • Try SimWay’s shooting simulator and take part in a shooting competition free of charge. The winner will be rewarded with a VIP room’s all-inclusive gift card.
    • Try TrackMan 4 golf simulator and participate in the closest to the flag competition free of charge. The winner will be rewarded with a green fee gift card.
    • Also an all-inclusive gift card and three green fee gift cards will be drawn among all the participants-

    During the festival day all golf simulators can be reserved for your own use at a price of 10 € per hour. Rental clubs are available for 10 € per set.

  • Motivus: free park workouts, open house and free workout classes

    Motivus organizes a completely free outdoor workout in Konepajanpuisto during the Konepaja Festival from 12 – 1 PM. You don’t need to register beforehand. Just come to Konepajanpuisto in your workout gear!

    Free and open classes continue in festival spirits at Motivus premises at 12 – 3 PM. Registration to these classes is available on Motivus’ website. Limited to 12 participants per class.

    Motivus has an open gym for independent training from 12 – 4 PM. 

    Motivus will randomly select one lucky person from all festival attendees. This lucky person will receive a one-year Motivus Group Fitness membership. The prize is worth 1500 €! You can participate in the competition by visiting Motivus’ gym during the festival and filling out a raffle ticket.

    In honor of the Konepaja Festival, Motivus offers a secret discounted membership to the fastest 10 people. The membership can only be purchased on-site at Motivus’ gym from 12 – 4 PM. Additionally, those who become customers during the Konepaja Festival will receive iconic Motivus socks as a joining gift!

  • Folks Hotel: white wine tasting and house tours

    Folks Hotel offers white wine tasting and house tours.

    1.30 PM / 4 PM / 5.45 PM White wine quarter – wine tasting. 

    Free wine tasting includes three wines. 16 participant per tasting

     

    12 PM / 1 PM / 2.30 PM / 5 PM House tours

    During the house tours you get to know the hotel in more detail. The tours start from the hotel lobby.
