Laura Gröndahl: Vie minut sinne 19th of April 12th of July at Tripla Urban Art Wall
Laura Gröndahl is an artist and a designer living in Tuusula. Laura is working on multiple mediums in designing patterns, public art and painting. Her work is described by a will to experiment and open-mindedness for use of different ways to work. Laura’s background on designing patterns is strongly present in her paintings.
Patterns designed by Laura have been presented at Nanso and Vimma. She has also designed the pattern of tram seats in Tampere. Laura has also made multiple public art pieces, of which the last is a mural on the facade of a block of flats in Jamppa, Järvenpää in Summer 2022. In the exhibition of Vie minut sinne Laura continues with a series of “Flowers and plants”. The works of the series are plain interpretations of plants and flowers. Considered color and form combinations make the pieces strong and fresh. The relation between the colors is highlighted in the pieces.
In Vie minut sinne – exhibition Gröndahl’s flowers and plants have gotten new forms painted on the wood and canvas. Plants and flowers take all the area that is for them. The series of work began in 2019 when Laura was living in Sant Pol de Mar -village in Catalonia and when she was moving a lot on mountains, beaches and forests. The light of the Mediterranean sea and effects of nature are still visible in her work.
Vie minut sinne -exhibition is longing for somewhere there in the past, when everything was apparently light.
