Maltsu elää!

Maltsu elää! is Helsinki Urban Art’s urban culture project which brings communal and experimental public art to Malminkartano and Kannelmäki.

In 2025 the project included a versatile selection of inclusive events: a communal dinner in both Malminkartano and Kannelmäki, Maltsu music night -music event and different kinds of art workshops.

Art and culture also spread out to empty spaces in the area, when Välitiloissa -culture festival took place in Malminkartano’s vacant business spaces in November 2025. 

In addition to events, Maltsu elää! will bring public art to the area. Murals and street art pieces are produced to Kannelmäki, creating a new street art entity in the area.

The project continues with funding from the Helsinki Model also in 2026! Find more information on new adventures on our website, as well as Facebook and Instagram. All events are open for everyone and free of charge!
