Welcome to Valima’s exhibition’s opening on July 12th at 5 PM – 7 PM!
The event is free and open to all.
Sivi Valima is a visual artist from Kallio, Helsinki. Valima has worked in the field of visual art for 15 years. In her work, Valima combines various techniques and materials creating saturated and abstract artworks. Different styles and influences of both contemporary and street art connect in Valima’s work in a new and fresh way. Valima is also known for her ambient cloud paintings.
Attraction has come together by intuitively following things that entice me. Passion for delicious colours and different techniques, combined with my experimental artistic approach, form the core of my work.
I love learning and trying out new things. Experimentation is at the root of my practice, and from there I refine my work into unique ensembles. I don’t particularly plan my work beforehand. Instead I let whatever comes into the surface, show itself. Not everything can be explained, but it can all be felt.
Creating art is one of the best ways to live in the moment, especially when all goes well and the finished work pleases you in an unexpected way and captures something essential about the moment. My exhibition ATTRACTION has also been born out of this.
The exhibition can be viewed at Sokos Hotel Tripla’s lobby every day at 7 AM – 11 PM until October 4th, 2023. You can find the place by Mall of Tripla’s info desk or via the entrance at Pasilansilta.
