Two new murals to Kannelmäki
Kannelmäki has gotten some new color in August, since Helsinki Urban Art finished two new murals in Kanneltie 8. The walls were painted by Finnish artists Emilia Lehikoinen and Anna Aho.
The mural painted by Emilia Lehikoinen features a scenery from a bedroom in the evening sun. Influences from local nature and the musical street and place names of Kannelmäki can be seen in the work.
Anna Aho was inspired by the local school for her mural. Two friends sitting in front of a stencilled wallpaper pattern bring joy, playfulness and imagination to its surroundings.
