Vaasankatu soi! 27.6. & 25.7.
Vaasankatu soi! events will fill the summer street with gigs and people on two summer Saturdays (27.6. & 25.7.). The most interesting names, rising stars and special acts of the Finnish alternative music scene are expected to bring the spirit of Vaasankatu to life.
On the first Saturday, the dynamic rock trio Lala Salama, who has unsuccessfully escaped cult fame, Susanna Leppänen, who has just released a confusing (and confusingly good) Metsolat theme album, Pambikallio, who charms with their reborn alternative pop, Teini-Pää, who plays sweetly catchy indie rock, and the long-time Finnish lyricist Asa, will take the stage.
On Saturday 25.7. we are going to see Juhlat, who have collected rave reviews and Indie Awards nominations, ethno-futuristic anti-folk banger machine Dänkki Briha, Luukas Oja , who is known for their energetic gigs and speaking lyrics, Kouvola-punk ambassador Kivesveto Go Go with their modern-day provincial songs, and the unique rapper Laineen Kasperi, who will end a perfect Saturday in Kallio.
Vaasankatu soi will be held from 3 pm to 10 pm. Free admission!
The event is organized by Helsinki Urban Art ry in cooperation with the City of Helsinki and Kaupunkitilat Oy.
