Helsinki Hopping outdoor board game
In summer 2021, Helsinki Urban Art created a Helsinki Hopping board game in the Teurastamo yard as part of Helsinki Day. In the rush of a surprising game painted on asphalt, city dwellers had the opportunity to jump into an adventure through Helsinki, where they themselves acted as pawns
The Helsinki Hopping game was available at Teurastamo in the summer of 2021.
The game offered a new way to explore different places in Helsinki and to be inspired to visit them after the game. The game board moved along the streets of Helsinki. Sometimes the player had the opportunity to go faster on a tram or in the metro. Sometimes, the game offered new twists, when the player’s sister unexpectedly invited him to visit a Kallio café or a friend wanted to go to Suomenlinna for a picnic. The winner was, of course, the first to visit different parts of Helsinki.
