Tullintori in Tampere

In the spring 2022, Helsinki Urban Art curated and carried out a collection of art works in the newly renovated Tullintori mall in Tampere.

Two mural works were carried out in Tullintori. Additionally, we curated a participatory poetry art work that was painted on the mall floors.

Poets Tiina Lehikoinen, Vesa Etelämäki, Riikka Palander and J.K. Ihalainen created a collection of poems out of inspirational words collected from locals. The poems reflect Tullintori and its surroundings, as well as the whole city of Tampere as a place to be and live in. 

Jarno Sinivaara painted nature-themed works at the entrance of the mall at Hammareninkatu. 

In addition, the Croatian Miron Milić designed a laser-cut work on wood next to the stage in the basement floor of the shopping center.
